In comparison, 73.1 million viewers watched the first presidential debate of 2020 between Trump and Biden, according to Nielsen Media. The 2020 debate occurred on Sept. 29, 2020, and was hosted at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The second presidential debate is scheduled for Sept. 10 on ABC, and David Muir and Linsey Davis will serve as the moderators.
