More and more resorts are making efforts to diminish their eco-impact, and live in harmony with the stunning vistas that surround them. Mega resorts, and the hoards of eager tourists that flock to them, often unintentionally destroy delicate environments. Excessive boating, diving and snorkelling can damage coral reefs and disturb marine animals with the sudden influx of people. All-inclusive resorts are the hummers of travel: they’re big, shiny and absolutely awful for the environment. For those worried about sacrificing fun in the sun for a feel-good trip, there no longer has to be a trade-off.
