Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveiled the Green Homes Grant during Wednesday's mini-Budget, pledging to open up work for thousands of tradesmen in the process. The government will cover the cost of at least two-thirds of insulation and other energy efficiency measures up to £5,000. This equates to at least £2 for every £1 homeowners and landlords spend to make their homes more energy efficient, up to £5,000 per household. Rishi Sunak said the scheme could save Brits £300 a year on their energy bills. (Image: PA)Business secretary Alok Sharma said the funding will aim to protect jobs and help reduce energy bills.
