Global broker Howden has snagged a top parametric talent from rival Ardonagh’s Price Forbes Re. Gareth Davies has joined Howden as head of parametric solutions within its global climate parametric practice, which launched in October 2023 to focus on the index-based risk transfer solutions market. Davies was most recently managing director, parametric solutions at Price Forbes Re. He joined Price Forbes & Partners in 2020 as an executive director before becoming chairman, parametric solutions at The Ardonagh Group's global reinsurance broking arm Inver Re in 2023. Howden recently grew its global parametric offerings with the acquisition of Latin American parametric insurance specialist MiCRO.
