Last year, the P20 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro, which was launched more than six months later, topped the DxOMark mobile camera ranking, with a score of 109, ahead of Apple's iPhone XS Max (105) and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (103). Using a different methodology, the Uber-G Camera IQ ranking found the Huawei Mate 20 Pro to have the best mobile camera of 2018 with a score of 167, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (162), and the LG V40 ThinQ (161). On the higher end 6.47-inch P30 Pro version, Huawei also added as a time-of-flight 3D camera, exclusively o, that allows to accurately map the environment and can be used in mixed reality (MR, virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) applications. On the video side, the P30 will be able to record in 4K, just like it the P20 or Mate 20, but the 10X hybrid zoom will add another level of details just like in the short clip below that was shot with the P30 Pro. The P30 series will be available for pre-order just after the official reveal, on March 27, and ship in early April.
