On Wednesday, HuffPost published a story trying to depict Robinson, the Republican candidate for governor, as an opponent of women's suffrage. HuffPost highlighted one line in particular, "I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote." Robinson made the remarks at a local meeting of Republican women in March 2020. The one where women couldn't vote? I would say to him if I was standing in front of him, I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote.
