Some of Australia's major websites including those from various media outlets are slowly coming back online after crashing on Tuesday night. The outages affected The Age and The Guardian along with other sites such as Nine, which were returning an 'Error 503 service unavailable' message. 'The Guardian's website and app are currently being affected by a wider internet outage and will be back as soon as possible,' the news site posted on Twitter. Outages were experienced overseas also, impacting sites including the New York Times and Financial Times and CNN. The outage saw visitors to a vast array of sites receive error messages including 'Error 503 Service Unavailable' and 'connection failure.'
