The police are afraid the vehicle could be misused by criminals as it could give them easy access to sensitive places. Police fear thieves could have intentionally targeted this vehicle as it has ‘Delhi Police’ written on it. In this case, the gypsy was of Tughlaq Road police station and was driven by a private person hired by the Delhi Police, the DCP said. After his duty ended at around 10pm on Saturday, the driver took the gypsy to Kotla Mubarakpur village where he lives. Having finished questioning the current driver, the police has also interrogated another man who had left the driver’s job recently.
