CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Motorists in Arizona will not see median cables when Interstate 10 is completely widened between Casa Grande and Tucson later this year. Humphrey’s wife and sister were killed in a cross-median crash in 2008, north of Casa Grande. Since then, he’s been trying to convince state officials that median cables will save countless lives. However, all DPS reports have a location on the form to check if it’s a cross-median crash. Humphrey said he will continue to offer several suggestions to the State Transportation Board on ways the state can better serve its residents.
