More than five years ago, my 6-year-old brother Noah was shot and killed in his first-grade classroom in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. In the months after Sandy Hook, Congress voted down a measure that would’ve expanded background checks for gun buyers. Despite having felt this way numerous times in the years since Noah was gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary, I disagree. Let’s join the mothers who have lost their sons and daughters to senseless gun violence.
