Jack Byrne is back in the Shamrock Rovers midfield and he's enjoying his football; there's little doubt about that. Byrne has played a significant role in the first phase of Rovers' season, as Stephen Bradley's side settle into their League and FAI Cup defence. "The Dubai thing, it was good to get over there, a good experience, working with good people, Sean O'Shea, Stephen Ward... I think that's put me in good stead from the start of the season." On that Dubai Irish stint, Byrne added: "As much as people want to think, I wasn’t away sitting on the beach drinking strawberry daiquiris.
