The housing deficit in Accra remains a pressing issue, driven by rapid urbanisation, high population growth, and income disparities. Against this backdrop, the Managing Director of Nako Properties, Jerry Osei Amoah, has pledged to support the construction of between 50 and 100 single-unit and family-sized affordable homes to help ease accommodation challenges in Accra. According to Osei Amoah, many teachers, nurses, and even young doctors struggle to find accommodation after completing their training or being posted to work in the capital. In line with this, he revealed that the necessary measures have been put in place to deliver affordable housing solutions aimed at easing Accra’s accommodation problems.
