Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will play a crucial part in security operations at this summer's men's World Cup, US government officials have revealed. Their deaths sparked unrest across the US and fears ahead of major sporting events such as the Super Bowl and the World Cup. I asked ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons whether ICE will be conducting raids and arrests at the World Cup. When the safety and peace of mind of millions of visitors are on the line, that evasion is alarming, and deliberate.
