In a statement, the NPS said the decision follows investigations conducted by the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) after a video of the incident circulated online. The footage was later confirmed to have been recorded at a pool hall within Nandi Hills. According to the NPS, the action targets local commanders to reinforce accountability for all conduct under their command. The police authorities did not disclose what actions would be taken regarding the officers seen on camera in the pool hall.
