Jakarta is hosting the IORA Summit for the first time, which officially launched its journey in 1997, with the theme 'Strengthening Maritime Cooperation for a Peaceful, Stable, and Prosperous Indian Ocean.' Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has joined the Leaders' Summit of IORA on its 20th anniversary along with leaders of 18 other nations. On Tuesday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated the summit, which is being held at the Jakarta Convention Centre. The prime minister was received at the summit venue on Tuesday by President Widodo. The prime minister is also scheduled hold bilateral meetings with Indonesian President Widodo and Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena.
