THE order by Indigenous People of Biafra( IPOB), across the South East and South South States to sit- at home yesterday in honour of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and remembrance of those killed by the Operation Phyton Dance (Egwu -Eke) Exercise last year experienced a partial compliance by residents of Awka, Onitsha,Nnewi and other major towns in Anambra State. TribuneOnline investigation around the State shows the most primary and secondary schools in Awka, Nnewi and Ekwulobia remained closed as pupils and students stayed away from their premises. Also commercial and business owners witnessed the same even as those that opened for business did not record much patronage. Also, many of the banks had their entrance doors placed under lock and key, with the exception of their ATM machines that attracted skeletal patronages from members of the public. Our correspondent who also visited the State Secretariat, around ten o’clock in the morning, reports that many staff were seen at their duty posts.
