KUALA LUMPUR (June 15): The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) will open the government special assistance (BKK) counters from today for appeal applications under Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR). The IRB, in a statement today, said the counters are opened from 8am until noon, according to the working days in each state and via appointments only. BPR-related inquiries can be directed to the BKK line at 1800-88-2747 from 9am to 4pm on Monday to Friday. The operating hours are based on the working days in every state, namely from 8am to noon, it said. The IRB also urged customers to check the list of its offices and branches that are temporarily closed before going to any premises to avoid any problems.
