During her vetting as Kenya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme, Ida, however, made it clear to the vetting panel that the Sh500 million is not the entire Odinga family's. There are things that belong to me Ida and there are things that belongs to the Odinga family but my net worth is about Sh500 million," she told the Departmental Committee on Defence Intelligence, and Foreign Relations. Ida appeared before a parliamentary committee for vetting following her nomination as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (Unep). She outlined her passion for the education of the girl child through the Ida Odinga Trust.
