In 2013, 22-year-old Tamara Blaine died after receiving silicone injections at the Liberty Motel in Manhattan’s Meat packing District. Tamira Mobley, a self-described beautician, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, admitting she caused Blaine’s death. Court papers from Castillo’s federal case in 2011 offer a glimpse into how her underground plastic surgery clinics functioned.
