By Dave SebastianIllinois Tool Works Inc. said its profit and revenue rose for the third quarter, though its automotive original equipment manufacturing segment continued to be affected by production reductions associated with supply-chain challenges. The Glenview, Ill.-based manufacturing company posted net income of $639 million, compared with $582 million in the year-ago period. Earnings were $2.02 a share, compared with $1.83 a share in the prior year. Operating revenue rose to $3.56 billion from $3.31 billion.
