Imagination and Skittles helped this 5-year-old boy conquer Appalachian Trail

Harvey Sutton is known as the “Little Man” on the Appalachian Trail in the United States. They’d been hiking with Harvey since he was two, so the Appalachian Trail made sense to them. In this Feb 12 photo, Harvey (right) walks hand-in-hand with his dad Joshua, near Hot Springs, North Carolina, while hiking the Appalachian Trail with his parents. So often we’d get to camp and I’d be beaten and tired and Little Man would say, ‘Let’s play freeze tag!’” he said. Some other thru hikers gave Little Man toys, including a pet rock, Hot Wheels and a pocket watch.
