After all, Disney and Marvel Studios have made billions of dollars since Iron Man kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Indeed, later this year we'll see the release of a truly excellent looking PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Oddly enough, superhero games are actually kind of rare in the video game industry. But by and large, especially in this generation, there are very few big superhero games like the upcoming Spider-Man. But if Sony had purchased these rights to not just Spider-Man, but the entire Marvel catalog, back in 1998, is it possible the company would have made Marvel superhero games a major priority for its various PlayStation models?
