Karlan is included in the list compiled by Demand Justice, a progressive group behind recent attack ads surrounding Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. “It’s no surprise that radical liberal Pamela Karlan is on the Demand Justice shortlist for the Supreme Court," Judicial Crisis Network Chief Counsel Carrie Severino said in a statement to Fox News. Demand Justice did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment. Demand Justice's website lists her previous roles as clerking for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun, as well as Judge Abraham Sofaer. Karlan received widespread condemnation from those at the White House, including first lady Melania Trump, who blasted Karlan for mentioning her son.
