The Relics were accompanied by Shri Mangubhai C. Patel, Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Shri Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on their return journey. The ceremonial departure in Bandaranaike International Airport, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, and Deputy Minister Gamagedara Dissanayake and High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha were present to see off the Holy Relics.
