Kherson Region, Ukraine (CNN) When Dasha and the other children emerged from their basement and into their newly occupied village it was for food. But when the children resurfaced, they were greeted by two unwanted guests -- Russian soldiers. Dasha and her family had been sheltering in their basement prior to the alleged rape. "We were told that he was going around the village," Dasha said, "and looking for someone he could... 'a girl of easy virtue', as they said." As some parts of the country seek to rebuild, the trauma of the Russian occupation continues to terrorize communities in the south.
