Sharmila Biswas and her co-artists discuss with Anjana Rajan the thought behind “Antar Yatra”, a cross-genre production that shares the journey of a woman dancer. Additionally, though, Sharmila points out that “Antar Yatra” is open to interpretation. “I am thankful that ‘Antar Yatra’ to a large extent could match that expectation. Featuring four lead dancers including herself, “Antar Yatra – The Journey Within” is an investigation of the artistic space itself. But soon they all unite, they hold hands to share the plot with the audience.”How would “Antar Yatra” resonate with people that often can’t even conceive of what the life of a performing artist entails?
