Police say they received a report late Friday afternoon about a suspicious and possibly impaired man spotted near a camper trailer just southeast of the city. say a man is dead after a shooting incident that involved police. They say officers were dispatched and there was an exchange of gunfire, after which a man was found dead at the scene. Police say no officers or other members of the public were injured. RCMP said the Independent Investigation Office of BC had been notified and would determine whether there was any link between police actions and the man’s death.
