Traders said the market was weighed down by lingering pandemic jitters and sell down of blue chips. “The PSEi ended lower today as blue chips continue to get sold down. Only a handful of PSEi issues ended with gains today, particularly sectors that have remained strong despite the pandemic,” said Chris Mangun of AAA Equities. “We saw a spike in trading volumes yesterday due to a large cross trade worth P5.2 billion in Emperador. Without the cross trade general volumes remain below the daily average as the general sentiment remains cautious.
