India’s Defense Company MKU Considering Investing in Morocco after Success of Tata Advanced Systems – The North Africa Post

Indian defense company MKU, a global leader in advanced ballistic protection and optronic systems, is considering setting up a plant in Morocco, building on the success-story of Tata Advanced Systems which is producing in the Kingdom armoured combat vehicle WhAP 8×8 for the Moroccan Royal army. According to India’s diplomatic mission in Rabat, MKU’s entry into Morocco would not be a tentative first step, but rather an expansion built on existing operational linkages. These helmets are designed to meet modern ballistic protection standards while integrating compatibility with communication and night vision systems. According to Indian diplomatic sources, the planned MKU plant in Morocco would go far beyond helmets to include night vision systems which represent a critical capability for modern infantry forces operating in low-light and counter-insurgency environments. By manufacturing such systems locally, the North African Kingdom would acquire an advance technology strengthening its growing defense industrial ecosystem enabling the country to reduce arms imports and reinforce its defense sovereignty.
