OIC, which has 57 member states, has given a customary statement since the current cycle of impasse in Kashmir started on July 8.Many of these countries are expanding ties with India. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has himself written twice to the UN Secretary General on the issue.Right MoveIndia should keep up its diplomatic effort. The outreach to members of OIC is important, especially given the increasing popularity of right-wing parties and movements. India should work with these countries to isolate state and non-state actors abetting terrorists.
