Soon Huat-Shevon beat Taiwan’s Wu Guan-xun-Lee Chia-hsin 21-17, 21-17 to set up a meeting against Thailand’s SEA Games champions Ruttanapak Oupthong-Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat in the second round.
