On March 6, Amir Nashrin acquired 88.33 million shares, representing a 7.96% stake in Media Prima. In mid-February, the group announced the disposal of two wholly-owned subsidiaries involved in the business — Sunzen Corp Sdn Bhd and Sunzen Lifesciences Sdn Bhd — to Pure Nutritional Products Sdn Bhd for RM17.3 million. Independent adviser NewParadigm Securities Sdn Bhd recently recommended that shareholders accept the offer, describing it as “reasonable”, though “unfair”. A total of 1.17 million shares were sold on March 2, reducing Urusharta Jamaah’s holdings in Wasco to 38.21 million shares, equivalent to a 4.94% stake. Shares in Wasco Greenergy closed at 64 sen last Tuesday, a 36% decline from its listing price of RM1.
