Bourita’s phone call with Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, tackled the results of the Libyan dialogue in Morocco, as well as recent developments in the Libyan crisis. For his part, Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, also applauded Morocco’s initiative to host the Libyan dialogue. “Congratulations to Morocco for its efforts to host the Libyan Dialogue in Bouznika in support of UN-led political dialogue,” added the US Embassy in Morocco. The EU is among the international entities that expressed full satisfaction with Morocco’s efforts to broker a lasting understanding between Libya’s conflicting factions. These include the UN, the African Union, the Arab League, the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, and Afro-Asian People’s Solidarity Organization, which has underlined that the outcome of the Libyan Dialogue represents a roadmap for the settlement of the Libyan crisis.
