World Taekwondo has launched an investigation into the running of Taekwondo New Zealand, due to a dispute over the organisation's leadership, and preliminary suspension is a possibility. World Taekwondo secretary general Hoss Rafaty sent a letter to Kim and Ransom, which says their roles are both disputed. "World Taekwondo (WT) has received conflicting reports from each of you on the status of Taekwondo New Zealand (TNZ)'s leadership," the letter said. "It's not ideal for Taekwondo New Zealand because we want more people in the sport in New Zealand."
