ASSOCIATED PRESSEarlier this year something of a media storm erupted after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie announced their plans to divorce. That storm turned very dark, very quickly, when Bezos accused American Media Inc (AMI) which owns the National Enquirer newspaper, of attempted blackmail and extortion. At the center of all this were leaked text message conversations between Bezos and former TV anchor Lauren Sanchez, including allegedly intimate photos sent by the Amazon CEO. Interestingly, de Becker also talks about having discussions with advisors to President Trump, Saudi whistleblowers and associates of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman amongst others. Bezos is, of course, the owner of the Washington Post and Jamal Khashoggi was a prominent Saudi dissident and columnist for the newspaper who was murdered last year.
