In the IoT solutions field, Dell is not making the sensors that take in the data. "Dell can deliver (a product) in seven to ten days," Rhodes noted. That's a vast improvement from the typical 15-week wait time of the industry, and this speed "helps customers work quicker than they have in the past," he said. Of course, Dell, with its line of computers, tablets, and other fancy gadgets, retains a role in producing IoT-related hardware.
