Cillian Murphy scored a hat-trick as Ireland Under-17s qualified for the World Cup in Qatar with a 7-0 routing of Slovakia this afternoon in Brzeg, Poland. As well as Murphy’s goals, Ryan Sheridan, Josh Harpur, Joey Wuna and Desmond Armstrong were all on target as the young Boys in Green finished as one of the best runners-up to earn a spot at the tournament.
