Ireland midfielder Conor Coventry has acknowledged the difficult situation the FAI finds itself in amid calls to boycott the Nations League fixtures against Israel later this year. Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side will play two Nations League games against Israel in the autumn having been paired in the same group at last month’s draw, a scenario which has since generated huge debate across the country following the wars in Gaza and Iran.
