GettyThe Denver Nuggets could hardly have had a better opportunity to come from behind to beat the San Antonio Spurs in their first-round playoff series opener on their home court at the Pepsi Center last night. It was a disastrously fitting end which capped off one of Denver’s worst shooting performances of the 2018-19 season. The Nuggets made only six of their 28 three-point attempts, or 21.4%. Whatever the reason, time and again this season the Nuggets have proven to be at their best when their backs are against the wall. Of course, not only Denver would have preferred to win game one, but doing so would have dramatically improved their chances of winning against the more experienced Spurs.
