It was a bit of an anticlimax really. After almost four years of voting against things, MPs finally last night voted to Get Brexit Done. The EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill —well, Boris Johnson’s version of it — cleared the Commons unamended with a majority of 99. That’s right, a majority of 99. In all 330 Tory MPs voted in favour of passing the prime minister’s deal, which you will note means that 35 of them just found other things to do.
