TUMAUINI, Isabela: Two students from Isabela province earned accolades from school leaders and peers after they won for representing the Philippines in the May online International Math Olympiad final round in Thailand. The 17-year-old students are both graduating Grade 12 students of the Regional Science High School in Arcon village here. Before the final round, both Ugaddan and Tumamao won silvers in the heat round, qualifying them for the final competition. Those who won gold, silver and bronze awards or with high distinction, distinction or high credit in depth of knowledge assessment competed in the final round. Because of the pandemic, the International Math Olympiad - touted as one of the most respected and desirable competitions in the world- was held online.
