MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the beauty store Elegant Fumes Beauty Products Inc.(EFBPI) in Binondo which listed its address in one of its products as Manila, Province of China. Moreno said the establishment sold products without the necessary permits as well as violated the Consumer Act of the Philippines and Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009. On Thursday, Manila’s Bureau of Permits shuttered four stalls of EFPBI inside a mall in Binondo after authorities found that the establishment’s products tagged Manila, Province of China as its address.
