ISLAMABAD – Following the orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas, the Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell of Islamabad Police, in a massive crackdown against car-lifters has arrested two car-lifters involved in numerous car pilfering incidents, a police spokesman said on Saturday. IGP Islamabad has appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed them to continue this crackdown. He said that Islamabad police have already returned more than 60 vehicles to their actual owners. SP Saddar Tassawar Iqbal constituted special police teams in the area to arrest the criminal involved in street crimes. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated the police team’s performance and further directed all the zonal SPs to intensify the crackdown in their respective areas.
