Yet Islamophobia emerged on the plane of International discourse with the publication of a report by the Runnymede Trust in 1997 titled; ‘’Islamophobia: A Challenge for all of us’’. The rhetoric of Islamophobia dispersed hatred speech and acts of defamation on social media websites backed by the freedom of speech narrative. Hundreds of thousands were displaced and was seeking refuge in the modernised western states. A report published by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (US) states that more than two thousand anti-Muslim offenses have been perpetuated in United States alone. Alienation of Muslims from political and civic life in upgraded societies of west is an epitome of Islamophobia.
