A Russian reconnaissance aircraft was brought down by a Syrian missile over the Mediterranean, killing all 15 people aboard, the Russian Defence Ministry said Tuesday. In response, the Israel Defence Force held Bashar al-Assad's regime — as well as Iran and its Shia proxy Hezbollah — responsible for the "unfortunate incident" while expressing sorrow for those killed.
