JERUSALEM, April 8, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - The Israeli military on Wednesday urged residents of Beirut's southern suburbs to evacuate, its third warning for residents of Lebanon since Washington announced a ceasefire with Iran. "Urgent warning to residents of the southern suburbs ... The IDF continues operations and attacks Hezbollah's military infrastructure across the southern suburbs," the military's Arabic-language spokesman, Colonel Avichay Adraee, said on X"For your safety, you must evacuate immediately," he said, giving names of several neighbourhoods to be evacuated, including Haret Hreik, Burj Al-Barajneh and Ghobeiry.
