With a winter of discontent and bad news stories leaking from Clare every week, the mood around the camp surely took a hit before the League. Even Diarmaid Ryan going to wing back, you must admire a lad that’s willing to try things in the League, that’s what it’s there for. What’s not helping this squad is players hearing that they’re not up to the standard for this level and that Clare will be the next Offaly. It’s absolutely ludicrous what people are saying about Clare. Kelly is still only 27 and half of that Clare team should still have their best years ahead.
