Former Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy has been shown arrested in Selim Mondal murder in Siddhirganj during the student movement in 2024. Additional Superintendent Narayanganj district police Tarek Al Mehedi said Ivy was shown arrested in the case on Thursday afternoon following a court order. Interior worker Selim Mondal in an arson attack on in a building in Siddhirgonj on July 20, 2024 during the anti-discrimination student. The court granted the petition and subsequently she was shown arrested in the case following due legal procedures. Dr Selina Hayat Ivy, implicated in dozens of cases, is currently in jail since her arrest on May 9, 2025, police added.
