Several soldiers of the Indian Army were injured in an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday (January 18), NDTV reported. The soldiers were carrying out an operation in Chatroo area when they were shot at by terrorists, the report said citing sources. The terrorists also reportedly lobbed grenades at the security personnel, reports said. On January 8, there was a gunfight between security forces and terrorists in Kathua district. In November, an encounter had broken out between terrorists and security personnel after the Indian Army and the J-K Police launched a joint operation.
