JK Rowling today called out a Twitter troll who tweeted a death threat at her by saying failed attempts to cancel her over comments she made about trans issues have left critics with 'only one place to go'. Dr Jessica Taylor wrote: 'I'm absolutely disgusted. Ms Rowling's representatives declined to issue a statement on the death threat, while Police Scotland has been contacted for comment. Shockingly, a hashtag calling for the author's death was the number one trending tag on Twitter in October last year. Following the original tweet, Rowling posted a 3,663 word essay on her personal website revealing she was sexually assaulted in her twenties.
